Faith Comes By hearing

Romans 10:17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Dear Friends, in our walk with God faith plays a key role. As it is written in Hebrews 11:6 Its impossible to please him without faith. Our biggest gift “Salvation” is the gift which we receive through our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is through faith that impossible is made possible. Faith is the result of hearing God’s word. In our journey of faith we encounter storms and situations that shake us to the core and surround us with doubt and fear. This is the point where a believer needs to decide, what he wants to hear. Does he want to hear the false ungodly voices, advises and reports, or is he eager to hear from God through His word.

We know what happened in the garden of Eden, when Eve heard the voice of Satan. She pondered upon it and entertained the thought of going against God’s commandment. We all know the rest of the events that followed as a result of heeding to ungodly voices.

The enemy is unwilling to give up on us and he continuously keeps questioning the word and promises of God in our lives. We can control what we fill our heart and mind with. The word of God is true and unshakeable (Matthew 24:35).  Its a weapon against the schemes and tactics of the enemy which work against our faith.  If you hear the Word of God, you will be able to apply it appropriately.

We cannot obey God unless we hear His word. The Bible says victory is ours, so let’s stir up our faith by hearing God’s word and heed to the still small voice of the Holy Spirit. Then we can move to the enemy’s camp and see the battle being won. Have a victorious day. Pastor T.Bakshi

What do you feed your mind with???

Psalm 119: 37 to 41
37 Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way.

38 Stablish thy word unto thy servant, who is devoted to thy fear.

39 Turn away my reproach which I fear: for thy judgments are good.

40 Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: quicken me in thy righteousness.

41 Let thy mercies come also unto me, O Lord, even thy salvation, according to thy word.mind

Dear Friends,Psalm 119 is the biggest Psalm in the Bible and throughout this psalm the writer has reminded the importance of meditating on the word of God.What are we feeding our mind with, gives us the true picture of who we really are. Are we feeding it with the things of the world, are we driven by consumerism, are we covetous? We don’t have to be Sherlock Homes to find out who we really are. Just answer a simple question what are we pondering upon, that’s where our focus is. Your mind is a powerful tool given by God. And if it is used to its potential, it can make a big difference in our life and the world around us. But the enemy wants the mind to be a war zone so its uses different medias and people to infuse ungodly and futile fruitless thought processes which makes us double minded.

As parents if we throw up a 6 months old child he smiles because he knows that his parent will catch him. Let’s try and do it with an adult with whom you have been associated with 6 years and see the response of the adult. Obviously the adult will refuse even to be carried, for one reason the adult does not trust you like the child does because of the things that he has experienced or learnt during his lifetime or his logical thought process. Jesus said if you want to enter the kingdom of heaven have a mind like child i,e. free from all fruitless thoughts trusting in God completely. You entering the kingdom is not dependent on what you or the world says about you, it completely depends what God has to say. Whatever He says matter in the end then why fill our head with the things of the world and act as if we know it all.

Its time that we clean mess we have created in our minds and feed it with the true word of God and in turn it will increase our faith, peace, joy, love and hope so we can become excellent stewards of God.- Pr. Bakshi.
