Lose Your Idea and get His

Psalms 107: 35 He turned the desert into pools of water and the parched ground into flowing springs;36 there he brought the hungry to live, and they founded a city where they could settle.Lose your Idea

Dear Friends, a lot of times we have an idea, how our deliverance should be, or how God should rescue us from our current situation. It is generally based on the things we hear and see in our faith life. But it’s not necessary that our ideas of deliverance are the same as His.

I am not saying that we should not have hope that God will deliver us but if we have a pre-conceived idea about how our deliverance should happen, it will end up boxing God’s doing in our lives.

He brought you out of your comfort zone to a wilderness, to turn the wilderness into a habitation. Its time to see the supernatural. We often pray for a way to move out of the wilderness situation, but the Holy Spirit told me pray that I should be able to hold my ground and see the salvation of the Lord, when the parched land turns into a pool of spring. People often talk about the first movers advantage but the first movers also have major issues. They do not have any  knowledge and encounter a lot of adaptation issues the Bibles is full of such people like Abraham, Joseph, Moses etc.. I feel in my heart a lot of us are going through this situation where God has called us out into an unfamiliar territory. It can be a job, a relationship or ministry and we are thinking about how fast we can move out of the situation but God wants us to hold our ground. Had God wanted you to run out of this situation He would not call you into it. Its time for a change within us so that we can change the things around us. Have a blessed day Pr. T. Bakshi.

Feel Free

Mark 14:3(AKJV) And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head. And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made? For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her. And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me. For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always. She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying. Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.

feel free

In the above mentioned text we see that Jesus was in a middle of a dinner and a woman came out of no where and broke a jar of expensive perfume and poured it on Jesus’s head. This act of love and worship immediately drew the attention of people who were around and they took no time to call it a waste but Jesus valued it. In your walk of faith you will always come across self righteous spiritual hoodlums, people who think that they know it all. They will always be fast to tell you what should have been done. God’s perspective is very different than that of those who are around you. These people who were around Jesus were more focused on meeting the physical needs than worshiping and being with Jesus. The question that came to my heart was, is their a faintest of possibility that Jesus was not aware of the poor people around Him or was He not able to meet their needs. Isn’t He the same God whom we are talking about who fed thousands with a few loaves and fishes.

When we truly understand the fullness of God the way we worship changes most probably this woman was uninvited as it was a lepers home which would have been out of the city gates as per the law, and it was a gathering of men. This woman was so filled with the love for God that she did not wait for any permission from anyone. She came and gave her best to God. The work of the religious spirit is to bind you and turn your focus away from God. Man have been forsaking God’s word for the sake of tradition but the Holy Spirit sets you free and gives you complete freedom to love and serve God.

Whatever you do for Him shall not go to waste but instead you will be rewarded in verse 9 Jesus commanded to mention this woman where ever the Gospel is preached. No one will ever know her name but everyone shall know how she worshiped Jesus  . If you are lead by the spirit to do something for Him and please feel free serve and worship Him. Have a powerful day in the presence of Jesus. – Pastor T.Bakshi

Overtaken by Blessing

Deuteronomy 28 (KJV) 1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: 2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.

One of the names of God that appears in the Bible is El-Shaddai which means the God who helps and blesses abundantly with all kinds of blessings. Indeed our God is a God who blesses but the principle of HIS blessing is based on obedience out of Love for God. If you read the above mentioned verses you would know the heart of God which wants to bless HIS people since the beginning of the creation. Before Adam was made He created everything that Adam will need. In other words whatever we need is in store with God, we just have to be in the center of the will of God to receive it.blessings

The above mentioned verses talk about two different things 1) Hearing God’s voice 2) Obeying what HE says. One of the most important thing in our faith walk is hearing what God is saying for that we need to spend quality  time with God and train ourselves up to distinguish His voice and hear it. Once we have heard the voice we must obey it as well. As Abraham heard the voice of God and followed HIM to the extent that he was ready to sacrifice his only son. Bible says Obedience is better than sacrifice ( 1 Samuel 15:22). God does not want a dictatorial position in our lives He wants us to obey HIM because of our love for HIM.

A lot of people inside and outside the Church have spent their lifetime chasing the blessing and are yet not blessed but when you listen to HIS voice and do as HE said as mentioned in the above mentioned verse God says that blessings will overtake you which means that you are not running after the blessings but now the blessings are chasing you. I pray that you will be a hearer and doer of God’s command and there will be unconstrained overflow of blessings in your life and that it will become a wellspring of blessings for  others. Pr. The ‪Priestly‬ ‎Blessing‬

Priestly Blessing
Numbers 6:22 to 27. 22 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 23 “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them:24 “The Lord bless you and keep you;25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,And be gracious to you;26 The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,And give you peace.”’
27 “So they shall put My name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them.”

Priestly BlessingDear Friends, The Bible declares that in ‪‎Christ Jesus we all are royal priests(Rev.5:10) so we are all entitled for a priestly blessing which makes God as our inheritance. Think about this fact – He is yours exclusively. These verses say that as you hold on to Him, He will give you safety, peace & favour. He will give you grace and as you hold on to His name He will bless you beyond measure. Blessing is not just having stuff. Whats the use of having an expensive bed and all those aminities one can think of but not being able to sleep or being dependent on some pills to sleep.  People can have a private Jet but not be blessed. Bible is full of such examples where men and women of God have found their riches nothing when compared to God. On the contrary the mindset of people today is completely the opposite – as we notice its easy for people to miss church on sunday than missing a business meeting. The mindset of certain Christians is that they feel they are self sufficient and this is the reason that they are holding onto the blessing more tightly than their source of blessing i,e. God. This is the reason why a lot of men and women of God are doing things in the flesh and are fading away. But the true blessing is peace, health, hope, love and above all assurance that He is yours and when He is yours then everything that is His belongs to you. Verse 27 in the above mentioned scripture is the key to our blessing, i,e when we put His name upon us or we understand our position as ambassadors of God, as sons and daughters of God and we have His word in us and we focus on serving Him then He will pour out His countless blessings on us. Have a blessed day. Pr.Bakshi

Time for Peace

It's time for peace

Ephesians 2:12-14 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

It's time for peaceDear Friend, I read about an incident in the middle of the 1st world war in 1914 during Christmas there was a time when the armies on both the sides called for a cease fire and all the Germans, British & French troops met in a no man’s land and exchanged gifts and greetings, and then went back to war. I was thinking of that moment when their was complete peace in between all the chaos of war. How marvelous will be that moment of peace? The world does not lack a scientific discovery or a miraculous medicine, just look around you and I don’t think so that it will take much time for you to understand that, what’s missing around you is peace. We all have a different understanding of peace. To some peace is a huge bank  balance, to some its a dream job or an educational degree, to some its their marriage we think that peace is always at the end of our next milestone. We all have forgotten the true meaning of peace is not dependent on our achivements. Inspite of our failure and success we can have peace. The peace that comes form knowing Jesus is beyond explanation its not based on our circumstances.  Jesus is called as Prince of Peace and His presence in our lives can calm the biggest storms. Jesus is our peace and assurance in the world and in heaven. I pray may His peace fill our lives.-Pr. Bakshi
